An
Italian student, named Luca Todesco, has just pushed the source code for
jailbreak iOS 8.4.1 to GitHub. According to the developer, the code can be used
to jailbreak your device and you will be able to install OpenSSH. The developer
also notes that users should hold back from installing Cydia for the time being
if you’re making the leap to jailbreak iOS 8.4.1.
The
code, which the developer is calling Yalu, is quite technical in terms of usage
and might not be for everyone to try out just yet. But given that the source
code has been made public, it’s a sure shot sign that the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak
solution will be with us sooner rather than later.
The
source code alone gives you the ability to jailbreak iOS 8.4.1 if you know what
you are doing, which in turns provides OpenSSH access. However, note that
because this jailbreak is incomplete, it does not install cydia, and it is
recommended you don’t install it manually.
Before
you run off to get Yalu, the source code for iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak from Todesco’s
page, keep in mind that there are some limitations and it’s not useable for
everyone yet. First of all, this source code required users with technical
skills rather than anyone because it’s not a one-click jailbreak tool yet.
Todesco also noted on the description that Yalu is not entirely completed.
The
incomplete souse code not support both tethered and untethered boot it support
only tethered boot yet , if you advance user you can download souse code and it
can tethered iOS 8.4.1 , it is ability to install OpenSSH of the iDevices , it
cannot install cydia because incomplete jailbreak process , we will advice to you
don’t install it manually.
So
as of now, we suggest you stay at the iOS 8.4.1 and do not try to jailbreak
your device using these source code unless you are an advanced iOS users with
technical knowledge of compiling the source code and creating an executable
file may have any chance with jailbreaking your device on iOS 8.4.1. You’d
better wait for a mature iOS 9.x jailbreak if you can’t read the code. Let’s
wait and watch, popular jailbreaker such as TaiG and Pangu team is working on
the iOS 9 and 8.4.1 Jailbreak.
